A wedding reception...

Our wedding reception at Chef Tony's restaurant was something we and our guests are still talking about!  Our guests arrived from all over the country to be welcomed family style at Chef Tony's.


The service was second to none, the food delectable and the atmosphere warm and welcoming.  Chef Tony's staff had agreed to meet with our baker for our cake delivery, the cake was presented on a beautiful table as we entered the room.


As we entered the restaurant in our wedding attire, all the guests in the section we entered either stood or applauded with delight to wish us well. These people were not previously known to us, just evidence of the wonderful people who make Chef Tony's their restaurant of choice.


The friendly atmosphere did not end there. The staff was very congratulatory, eager to please us in every way. We could not have asked for better service. Chef Tony had worked with us regarding our reception feast, we took his suggestions and added a few of our own to offer our guests extraordinary choices to accommodate all of us.


The compliments regarding the food began with the appetizer and continued into the evening. Planning a wedding can be a stressful time in our lives, Chef Tony and his wonderful staff took the worries away, creating a feast for all of us. Thank you, Chef Tony and staff for making this day so special!

Shared Dreams...

I have never been disappointed with a meal at Chef Tony’s in Bethesda. From the appetizers to the desserts, the food at Chef Tony’s  is excellent.


His calamari appetizer is not to be missed. The fish dishes are nicely prepared and the desserts are the perfect finishing touch for a wonderful meal.


After having had many delicious meals at Chef Tony’s I thought it would be the perfect place to have a social meeting with other doctors.


What a great idea!


He divided his back dining room into two segments allowing us to have more than enough privacy for our group of fourteen. Chef Tony was very accommodating in preparing some unique appetizers, including a Filet Satay, some delicious shrimp and of course his incomparable calamari to be served to guests as they arrived. We chose our meals from his daily menu selections with additional items, helpfully added by Chef Tony, to please some of the desires of our guests.


The fish and meat dishes were beautifully prepared and quite tasty. Then on to dessert and coffees.


The tiramisu was a hit, and although I am not usually a fan of bread pudding, even that was fantastic. No one left hungry.


The evening was made even more special by the great service we had that night. Many of us have made plans to return again soon.


The décor at Chef Tony’s is far from fancy but it is more than made up for by the superb culinary treats prepared by him. It’s great to get a meal this good for a reasonable price in Bethesda.

We had our office Christmas Party as Chef Tony's  and is was a great event! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting and it was a pleasant experience. Chef Tony worked with me to provide a menu that was innovative with a lot of variety catering to a lot of different palates. It was a great value for the money. I would recommend this establishment for any type of event!

Thank you & your staff for making Sophia's birthday party special.


The food was delicious (as always) and the kids had a lot of fun.  The wait staff deserves special recognition for being kind & helpful.  Teens are not always the most sophisticated eaters & the waiters patiently explained the menu.  They even brought a big bowl of mashed potatoes for one of Sophia's friends!

    We have been regular patrons of your restaurant.  This time we had an exceptional experience holding a dinner party at your place which included family and old friends.  A fine party combines delicious food, good wines and thoughtful and relaxed service that does not interfere with close conversations, amusing stories and multiple toasts.  The food was perfect starting with multiple tapas (that satisfied diverse tastes), then a couple of large  savory main dishes, and an assortment of desserts, all of which were accompanied by a pairing of Argentinian Merlot and Pinot Grigio.  Hosts and guests shared a happy and memorable evening thanks to your efforts and those of your staff.

"We recently had our office holiday party at Chef Tony's. I can't even tell you how great of a night it was. Tony was a true pleasure to deal with from the start, and helped make a menu that was extensive, delicious, and that also catered to a lot of allergies/food issues we have with our staff.


The setting was perfect, and the back room was great for our group size, about 50 people. The ambiance was the perfect mix of casually comfortable and high-end fine dining.


The staff, especially the awesome bartender, took care of us all night. Tony also checked in to make sure everything was good, even though it was the dinner rush. Everyone was fast, courteous, helpful, and fun. We wanted for nothing. New dishes and refills arrived before we even knew we needed them.


The best part would have to be the FOOD. The calamari rings were the best I've ever had in my life, no contest. I don't even typically like salmon, but I had about 8 pieces of Tony's recipe. There was not a single individual in our 50-person crew who wasn't licking their plate. We have a ton of people with interesting food allergies and/or special needs, and they were thrilled that they could finally attend a party like this and eat more than salad. The desserts were perfect: simple, delicious, and abundant.


I really can't say enough about the whole experience. Our office is right around the corner, so I think we just found our new lunch spot. Chef Tony's is also now my official Ace-in-the-Hole for dating.


Highly recommended here. In a very busy Bethesda restaurant scene, this place is tops. A hidden gem, don't miss it!"
